A walk through my binder…

I first heard about this idea back in February 2006 and it just struck me as the answer for our family. I already had sort of a “family daytimer” for tracking events and such, but this is so much more and included all aspects of maintaining a home and a family.
Cover
cover
First page (Tabs say: Schedule, Cleaning, Meal Planning, Homeschool, Dayhome, Deaconess Info, Phone Book)
1
Then I have the 21 Rules of this House printed out (no pic)
Babysitter’s Info with the children’s evening routines written out for easy reference (no pic)
Our Family Info – lists our address/phone/cell also allergies for the children, Dr and Dentist numbers and Emergancy family contact numbers (no pic)

SCHEDULES: first tab
I have two printed out – our M/W/F and our Tu/Th schedules as things vary a bit on those days.
2
Next is our morning and bedtime routines
3
Our Homeschool Schedule
11
Weekly Calendar – lists each day with space for appts/dayhome/to do
4
After all the schedules and calendars comes all of my “fun stuff”
Articles, verses, stories, poems, etc that are important or inspire me
5
CLEANING: second tab
First is my weekly cleaning chart
6
Then I have my emergency “quick clean” plan and the girls “chore charts” (no pic)

MEAL PLANNER: third tab
First is my weekly meal plan, this helps me SO much and saves us money as I plan out the meals for the week before we go shopping so we only buy what we need. :) Adriana likes to help, you can see she has filled in most of the spaces.
7
I printed out all of my favorite recipes instead of using my recipe cards, this makes sense since my binder is by the stove. I have a few pages here.
8
Recipes to Try list…to jot down things to try (you can see I haven’t gotten that far yet! LOL)
9
HOMESCHOOL: fourth tab
My notes from the Homeschool conference this past spring – the speakers were great and had so many good ideas.
10
Our Memory verses from this spring (the girls learned all of these)
12
Then comes our schedule again and some notes for myself (no pic)

DAYHOME: fifth tab
Here I have all of my dayhome children’s contact and medical information listed. Also there schedules/holidays etc (no pic)

PHONE BOOK: sixth tab
All of our phone numbers listed
13
Back
In the back pockets I have grocery lists (I plan to print up my own soon) and a First Aid info sheet.
14
That’s all! :)

I just noticed this link! Good for you, Tan! Organization is one of the most important keys to success! (“If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail!”).

    Love you….
